A factory tour was organized for the students of the Department of Building & Real Estate (BRE) of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University on 31 March 2012. The visit started with a thorough introduction of our E.MIX systems by Mr. Woods Chow, Senior Sales Manager of E.MIX. The features, technology and application information of E.MIX products were also presented and well received by the students.

Besides, we demonstrated our central computerized and fully automated production system to the visitors. The students can also get hand-on application on E.MIX products in our laboratory. They can touch and experience the most advanced dry-mixed mortar technology. It was a great opportunity for us to discuss and exchange ideas with the students.

E.MIX is one of the Bronze Sponsors of the “2011 Shenzhen & Hong Kong Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism \ Architecture”. Its opening ceremony was held at Kowloon Park, Tsim Sha Tsui on 16 Feb 2012. Mr. Stephen LAM Sui Lung, GBS, JP, Chief Secretary of Administration, HKSAR, Mr. LV Ruifeng, Deputy Mayor of Shenzhen Municipal Government were the Guests of Honours. The opening was then followed by a Parade to pavilions of various cities including Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Taipei. Representatives from Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Taipei Governments are present as the officiating guests of the Parade.

This event aims to gather both international and local architects and professionals, and draw the public’s attention to the most critical issues of Shenzhen currently and acknowledges the specific issues of Hong Kong. A series of community activities are now carrying out during the Biennale (exhibition period – 15 Feb to 23 Apr 2012) to annotate the theme via various multimedia, including performance, movie appreciations, forums, workshops etc.

Eastern Gotech held the Annual Dinner on February10, 2012 at the Happy Valley Clubhouse of Hong Kong Jockey Club. All the staff, many business partners and friends in the industry who had given us full support shared the feast.

Firstly Dr. Chan Chi Yui, the director of business development department, was invited to give an inspiring opening speech. All the management staff together with CEO Mr. Andy Ip wished Eastern Gotech will have a good year and welcomed the guests to join the dinner. Then outstanding employees with more than a ten years and five years in service were praised.

The guests and staff enjoyed the singing competition so much, particularly the singing performance of the MCs., Mr. David Do and Ms. Sara Lee. The exciting lucky draw was the most attractive part of the Annual Dinner. The attendees witnessed the appearance of every lucky guy. The lucky prizes were sent out with rounds of cheerful laughter. Guests strongly felt the warm and joyful atmosphere.

The success of this Annual Dinner showed the ever-increasing strength of Eastern Gotech, the determination of the company continuing to expand the market in both Hong Kong and mainland China. The positive and progressive spiritual strength of the whole team was also noted. These indicated that we will achieve a higher goal in the new year.

E.MIX Rapifast CSR is approved by Hong Kong Housing Authority

We are pleased to announce that our E.MIX Rapifast CSR is approved by Hong Kong Housing Authority to be used in their district term contract. E.MIX Rapifast CSR is a fast hardening mortar for both wall rendering and floor screed application. It is made from fast hardening cement, anti-shinkage agent and waterproofing additives, which develops high compressive strength within few hours, and allows bearing loading with minimum down time. It is also waterproofing that is suitable to be used in kitchen and bathroom renovation. For details, please contact our sales representatives.

Management Conference 2011 of Hip Hing Construction Co. Ltd.

On 10 December 2011, Eastern Gotech was invited by Hip Hing Construction Co Ltd. to participate in their management conference at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Our Mr. Woods Chow, Senior Sales Manager introduced the features of E.MIX systems and discussed the common problems with suggested solutions of daily operations in construction site. We had fruitful discussions and were very pleased to discuss and exchange ideas about E.MIX products and its application with the engineers.

Factory Tour for HKIA Members

18 members of the Hong Kong Institute of Architects visited our factory in Yuen Long on 10 December 2011. In this factory visit, we introduced the E.MIX product systems to the visitors and discussed the common issues of daily operations with them. Besides, we had demonstrations of product applications and our central computerized production system to the visitors. It was a great opportunity for us to discuss and exchange ideas with architects.

Factory Tour for Hip Hing Construction Co Ltd

On 26 November 2011, we organized Hip Hing Construction Co Ltd. to visit our factory in Yuen Long, which was attended by 25 engineers and undergraduate engineers. The visit started with a thorough introduction of our products by Dr. Chan Chi Yui, Business Development Director of E.MIX. The features, technology and application information of E.MIX systems were presented and well received by the members.

The members had fruitful discussions during visit and were very delighted to attend the product application demonstration and get the information of the central computerized production system.

Ground-breaking ceremony of ZengCheng new factory

November 21, 2011 was ground-breaking day for Eastern Gotech ‘s production plant in ZengCheng, Guangzhou. Mr. Andy K.W. Ip CEO of Eastern Gotech (H.K.) Ltd., ZengCheng Municipal Government representatives (Secretary Mr. Guo Bai He, Director Mr. Liu Wen Wei, Director Mr. Bo Yong Biao, Director Mr. Lian Bo Guang and Director Mr. Zhou Zhao Ming) , main contractor Ching Lee (Guangzhou) Construction & Installation Engineering Co., Ltd. (Managing Director Mr. Terence C.W. Ng and Director & Deputy General Manager Mr. Sam Y.W. Ng) and Shantou Jian’an (Group) Co., representative (Manager Mr. Chan Yu Mian) gathered to have the ground breaking. The holy moment was also witnessed by the management of Eastern Gotech, they hope the erection of this grand premises is the first official step of further development of E.MIX in South China Market.

The production plant to be built is with an area of 200,000 square feet. Production lead time will be shorten for China projects after the commencement of the production plant next year. As our usual practice, the production line to be set up in Guangzhou ZengCheng will be monitored by the central computerized system. The factory will also adopt the requirements of The Hong Kong Product Conformity Certification Scheme for production system and quality control as the framework in order to produce high quality products in a sustainable environment.

Eastern Gotech was invited to organize a technical seminar on fast hardening screed and  renovation systems, E.MIX Rapifast series, for kitchen, toilet, corridors and floors.  These systems improve the efficiency and performance of current building maintenance at Hong Kong Housing Society on 21 July 2011.

"Thermal Insulation System Seminar" was organized by New World China Land Limited together with Eastern Gotech on 12 May, 2011 to introduce the E.MIX Thermomix Insulation Render for external and internal wall. An audience of over 40, comprising professionals and technical personnel enthusiastically exchanged experiences and opinions on different thermal insulation systems.

We are glad to announce that our manufacturing and quality control system are newly certified as The Hong Kong Product Conformity Certification Scheme (PCCS-TA-2010). We were among the first group of manufacturers to receive this certification.

This scheme is to ensure that the products produced by certified manufacturers meet purchasers ' specified requirements with conformity to all necessary technical requirements applicable to Hong Kong. It also requires certified manufacturers to operate a quality system, which has stringent production system and quality control.

The certification is made according to specific requirements and testing standards devised by Fugro Certification Services Limited to monitor quality and implement production management system. Fugro Certification Services Limited inspects factory (by ISO/IEC 17020) every year and conducts sampling tests (by ISO/IEC 17025) to check if the products conform to specific requirements and testing standards.

A factory tour was organized for the members of Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors on 19 March 2011. There were 46 members of HKIS attended the tour and all of them are impressed by our precise ingredients weighing and mixing systems, new product application demonstration, comprehensive QC system and innovative R&D activities.

All of the above products are also certified Green Label products for The Housing and Development Board (HDB) market in Singapore.

Hong Kong is committed to building a sustainable future and to ensuring that future generations can continue to thrive in a clean and green environment. As commented by Mr Edward Yau Tang-wah, JP, Secretary for the Environment of Hong Kong during a radio interview on CRHK in September 2010, new legislation is underway in regulating the use of environmentally friendly building materials in new buildings.

Eastern Gotech was invited by the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors to participate in the Building Surveyor Conference on October 30, 2010 at the Harbour Plaza Hotel, Hong Kong. The main theme for this year's conference was "The 21st Building Maintenance Trend".

Eastern Gotech set up booth at the exhibition with great success. The event provided a perfect opportunity for the surveyors to discuss and exchange ideas about our products and its application.

Eastern Gotech (China) Limited exhibited in The 7th China (Yunfu) International Stone Materials Science and Technology Fair held at the Yunfu International Fair Center on October 21 to 23, 2010. There were more than 1,000 booths in the 30,000 sqm exhibition area and over 400 exhibiting enterprises representing countries from around the world such as Turkey, Iran, Italy and India.

Eastern Gotech was invited by Sun Hung Kai Properties Limited to organize a seminar on the specific topic about the E.MIX Thermomix Insulation System on August 2, 2010.

Eastern Gotech was invited by Wong & Ouyang (HK) Limited to organize a seminar on the selection and application of E.MIX new system on July 7, 2010.

Last month, Eastern Gotech invited a Finnish dry mortar equipment expert, Mr. Hannu Pasila as a consultant to select advanced equipments for the Guangzhou new production line.

Annual Dinner of Eastern Gotech was held on January 29, 2010 at The Happy Valley Clubhouse of Hong Kong Jockey Club in Hong Kong. The Theme of Annual Dinner is “Sparkling Las Vegas Night”, guests and Eastern Gotech’s staffs wear the best dressing to join this party. Ms Mini Lo, famous performer, was invited to be a MC and held a singing concert.

Eastern Gotech was invited to organize a technical seminar on renovation systems at Hong Kong Housing Society on 25 November 2009.

E.MIX Easi Render have been widely used in Central Government Complex, Tamar and Ocean Park Expansion Project. The former has already started Phase 1 construction since End of November 2009. It estimated consumption volume of E.MIX products exceeds 1,500 metric tones, while the latter is about 2,000 metric tones.

Mr. Andy K.W. Ip, CEO of Eastern Gotech, signed an agreement with Mr. Peter Crommelim, Managing Director of Commelin, on October 2009 to establish a long-term cooperation relationship.

Many incorporated owners, government departments, developers, architect companies, property management companies and different associations visited our factory at Yuen Long in past few years.

In the first half year of 2009, we were pleased to organize factory visits for Hang Yick Properties Management Limited, Hong Yip Service Company Limited, Guangdong Building Materials Institute, and Hong Kong Construction Sub-contractors Associations, etc.

Eastern Gotech was invited by the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors to participate in the Building Surveyor Conference on September 5, 2009 at Harbour Plaza Hong Kong, Hung Hom.

Speakers included Dr. Kitty Poon, Under Secretary for the Environment Bureau, Mr. Alfred W.H. Sit, Assistant Director for Electrical and Mechanical Services Department and Mr. K.S. Wong, Chairman for Professional Green Building Council, etc. Our exhibition booth was set up at the venue, which provided a perfect opportunity and area for us to discuss and exchange ideas with the surveyors.

Mr. Andy K. W. Ip, CEO of Eastern Gotech, signed an agreement with Guangzhou ZengCheng Municipal Government on 20 August, 2009 to establish a production base with an area of 200,000 square feet serving the South China Market.

Eastern Gotech signed a cooperation agreement with Vanke Group, the biggest developer in China, starting to supply our E.MIX “Thermomix” Insulation System for her construction site in May, to fulfill the requirements of energy-saving and thermal insulation standard of construction industry in China.

Eastern Gotech’s technical team has also provided the professional training and demonstration to the applicators at the construction site.

"Building Energy-saving Seminar" was organized by Eastern Gotech and Guangzhou Survey and Design Industry Association on April 29, 2009.

The event was held at Dongfeng Hotel in Guangzhou. Speakers included Mr. Zhang Nan Ning, Vice Chief Architect of Guangzhou Design Institute and Dr. Chan Chi Yui, Senior Quality & Product Development Manager of Eastern Gotech.
